No, nothing to do with availability of parts - I meant less parts to
replace in the short term.

For example, when I bought my DeLorean, everything was original and as
such, everything was shot. Not an excessive amount of miles or
anything, just old age. Brakes, clutch, shocks, hoses, radiator (damn
those plastic hose bibs), the list goes on and on.

A newer car would not have these problems. See, there was nothing
wrong with all of these items on my car - they weren't worn from use
or abuse - they were just old, brittle, and falling apart more from
lack of use and age than anything else.
