Sounds similar to a friend of mine.. Got a DWI ticket
because he was sleeping in his car, in a parking lot. 
He was dropped off at his car by someone else and
decided he was too drunk to drive, so went to sleep...
 A little while later, cop woke him up with a knock on
the window then hauled him off to jail.
