Wow, Kevin, you're nicer than I. I would have fought that for sure.

A friend of mine got a ticket for improper use of his brights. There
was a car coming toward him at night with his brights on. What do you
do when someone has his brights on? You briefly flash yours, to remind
him, "Hey, buddy, your brights are on."

Everyone does it. In fact I'm sure they taught us that in high school
driver education classes. Apparently it's illegal. The car coming
toward him was a cop, who turned around, pulled him over and wrote him
a ~$70 ticket.

All I could think was, "If briefly flashing your brights is illegal,
what about driving everywhere with your brights on, like the cop was
doing? Wouldn't that also be illegal?"
