Seems to me that best summarizes your personal feelings.  Why would he 
want to be a cop?  Would you ask the same thing if he wanted to be a 
fireman or serve in the military or any other thing that serves his 
fellow citizens?  Maybe a positive outlook would make you say your 
nephew wants to serve his fellow citizens and try to help them?  Thats 
how I would see it if it was my realtive.
