For what it's worth, I think the only viable source of hydrogen would be some sort of
nuclear process. As far as I can tell, hydrogen is best as a form of energy storage and not
as an energy source. The electricity for electrolysis of water has to come from someplace.

I myself am willing to invest in biofuels. Henry Ford and Rudolf Diesel both originally
conceived of their motors as running on some sort of biologically derived fuel. When other
people realized that they could make a whole hell of a lot of money off the petroleum they
were sitting on top of, the whole plan changed.

If it weren't against various emissions laws, I think swapping a VW TDI (suitably modified
to produce more power) into a DeLorean might be interesting. They have tremendous low-
end torque, and my grandfather's Bug regularly gets 50mpg.
