They designed the Bricklin with Gullwing doors just like they  
designed the Delorean to have Gullwing doors, they could of dropped  
the body-line down to accommodate regular doors but who would have  
bought the car then?

Yes the Bricklin used a STOCK Ford frame but do you see any Fords  
with Gullwing's?

Ford I guess should of had Gullwing's on the Car that used that Frame  
then.

It is all about Design and the Bricklin could of been designed better  
to use regular doors and all of the other things that were bad about  
the Bricklin, but that is a whole different topic that does not need  
to be discussed on a Delorean forum.
