Re: [DML] eBay fraud (Response from "seller")

Corey,

Someone emailed me directly as well:

from: justin khos <khositme@xxxxxxxxx>
date: Dec 7, 2006 4:19 PM
subject: Does This Delorean belong to you?

i am considering buying one on ebay but first i asked a group of
delorean owners what they think and i want to be sure this isnt your
car.
the vin# is scedt26t6bd001208 and it is an Automatic 81 with a turbo engine.

I did not respond. There was no such DeLorean listed on eBay at the
time of this mailing. I think this could be the scammer himself,
trying to fish more information. You'd think this loser would just
give up. BTW, that "explanation" below is complete BS. Nobody selling
a car says they can't give you information on the vehicle "for privacy
reasons." That's ridiculous. Don't even bother getting to the bottom
of this. It's a scam. Just stay away from it.

You will receive the confirmation for the car's location from eBay once we have started the transaction. For payment I will use eBay Vehicle Purchase Protection. Here is how the process works: - you give me your shipping address, - I start a transaction on eBay Vehicle Purchase Protection,- they send you the payment instructions,- you complete the payment,- they confirm to me that they secured the funds,- I ship the car to you,- you receive and accept it,- they pay me. If the car is not like described you will have to ship it back in 30 business days on my expense, but I am sure that you will love it.If you agree please send me your full name and shipping address so I can start the transaction. Thanks,Peter
