[DML] History of VIN 5255

I bought my car with 5,800 miles on the clock from Stuart Pennington
(Enfield UK) 22/01/02.  He imported the car from Arizona in 2000.

 

I logged my details on the VIN chronology in 2002 (when I lived in High
Wycombe, Bucks) and submitted my change of address to Milton Keynes in April
2005 (not check to see if the updates have been made).

 

The lambda and condition of chassis would tally well with the mileage being
original but the DMC labelled windscreen has many pit marks and fine
scratches (as if someone had fitted diamond encrusted brillo pad windscreen
wipers in the past) which to me would suggest the car has done more miles.

 

Does anyone know anything else about this car?

VIN 5255 October 1981 grey 5-speed.  No flap but with grooved bonnet.  Did
have a Craig radio and a pull up manual aerial which is now back to a
motorised version.

p.s. Unusual things found over the years:- one English pound coin, a Looney
coin, lots of leaves around the evaporator core and Arizona sand on the
epoxy frame near to the license plate and taillight boards.
