Make sure the 3 idle screws on the throttle body are screwed down and double
check the idle speed motor and the switch that turns it on.

It has never died at idle but most of the time it cant find a steady idle.
It will drop to 550 appx and jump to 1200 to keep the engine from turning
off and then it will slowly correct itself and jump from say 600-900 and
keep jumping between those numbers. But i will try the 1/8 turn and see if
that helps. thanks
