Re: The Latest Issue of DW from DOA

I have seen the latest DW too. I also give it high marks for the
craftsmanship and quality. Unfortuantly it is more of a travel log
than a publication for a car club. If you look at the front cover it says 

Travel Technical Lifestyle

It is heavy on the Travel and the Lifestyle, very light on the
Technical. I suppose coming from California this is what they
emphacise (sorry for the spelling!). Maybe most of the people in
California don't work on their cars so they have no need for much
technical? What I look for (and I think most other do too) is more on
the technical and the activities of other groups around the country.
It is a shame this fine looking magazine isn't more representitive of
the entire country and the many different types of people that own,
maintain and operate their Deloreans. Not many Delorean owners can
identify with Kevin and Andrea. It is nice to know that even people
like them still like Deloreans too though. I guess we maybe do have
some things in common. Most car club publications have an upcoming
events section. I have to assume that in the world of DW only their
events are worthy of mentioning. Maybe they should have an article on
the world of Deloreans on the Internet. BTW by his own admission Ed
Bernstein does not claim to be a mechanic. Yet he (don't forget he is
also the editor/director) is giving technical advice in the only
technical artice in the magazine. I guess since they are producing
less magazines per year they are going to spend more on each one.
This is all my own opinion and in no way reflects on the DML.
