It may be that the black Lucas repay box, up under the dash ( it does
the intermittent that I've never really understood) may have gone wrong.

 
You can bypass this by simply unplugging the male and female plugs that
go to it and plug them together instead, thus bypassing the box. The
wipers should operate OK but without the intermittent. ( no great loss)
worth a try.

HI

i did not mention in my earlier
post that the wipers were working on both speeds but slow.  too slow 
for the
wipers to move when on the screen when they were pulled away from the 
glass
they worked.  I assumed the motor was burnt out/damaged so bought a 
dmch
one.  I now get the feeling that this MIGHT not be needed.  Please
help...does this sound familiar...what should i do?
