By the way Im the first to admit im not an expert on anything d
related but .....
I was advised and rightly so that the battery should be charged to
12.66 and if this didn't hold then it could cause starter / other
problems ...which it really did on my car.... cant remember if it was
12.2 or 12.3 i was getting at the battery but anyway it was
kernackered.

My car would just 'click' but not start.... new battery 12.66
v ....never been a problem since   ( touch wood ).

Check your battery next and make sure its got the correct charge ...
Mine was only 3 years old but still needed replacing.

Also make sure all your connections and grounds are clean and shiny
when you put everything back in :)
