RE: [doc] Colour Printers

Chris

I work for Laserlife - part of the Vitesse Group. One of things Laserlife handles is repair, maintenance and advice on laserprinters.

70% of laserprinters used in Britain are Hewlett Packard - they are widly accepted by many as being the best. The HP Colour LaserJet 2500 costs between £530 and £950 new, and is a good small scale printer. The quality is excellant and if it is for just your own use then you are unlikly to go through to many maintenance kits. If you buy the printer new then you will probably get a years free warrenty. Failing that a company like Laserlife will offer an 8 hour response on a maintenance contract - that would include parts, repairs and a free replacement printer if we can't fix it.

The step up from this printer is the HP Colour LaserJet 4500, the 4550 or the 4600. These are large printers but are great quality. You could probably get a second hand one on ebay for under a grand.

The prices for toners for both these printers vary.

I could prattle on all day with info about this but if you want to have a quick chat then give me a call at worek on 0208 9601233.
