Speedometer magnet is set up for clockwise rotation. You'd need an
intermediate gear to change cable rotation.
Otherwise it "could" be done. A lot of engineering however. You'd
probably need to swap spindles (I doubt the passenger side is hollow).
Cable would be longer, but no longer than a full size domestic. Some
of the bends might get you into trouble though (unless you mounted the
angle drive upside down on the passenger wheel and ran the cable in a
giant U around the front of the car).
I really don't think all that work is the best solution. If screw
gears are directional, perhaps Houston could make their next angle
drive backwards, then add a third gear somewhere to get cable rotation
clockwise again (in a replacement Lambda box perhaps?).
