[DML] mode switch vacuum disappeared

Within one day, overnight, it seems like all vacuum to my mode switch 
has vanished. Everything is correct at the switch, and all the hoses 
are still attached going from the front on back under the center 
console. Symptoms - no more 'hiss' (yes, i haven't rebuilt my 
diphragm yet) also, very easy to turn the switch, and obviously 
barely any airflow from the vents. Where in the back of the car does 
the hard plastic vacuum tube go next? is there any particular 
fittings that are known to come apart?
