Oh yes, been there, done that. However it's no good for direct injection
diesels. And Bio-diesel is basically getting rid of the glycerine, and
that will only burn if you pre-heat the oil first, which is why you have
to go through all that. You also lose power because some of the fuel
produces negligible power

But, having said that I've successfully run my Citroen BX on 50/50 veg
oil (42p/litre in Tesco as opposed to diesel at 91p/litre at the pump at
the moment!)
