RE: [DMCForum] Was terrible gigantic Suv's then tiny Civics, now a rant

You just figured out that there are morons out there, Jack?

I don't think the word "inertia" appears anywhere on a driver's test.

I face the same situation driving around here in my truck.  And
coincidentally, yesterday was one of the best stories to relate.   I
was turning left across three lanes of traffic, car going in opposite
direction making right turn onto the same side street.  I know I can
make it through a break in traffic if he makes his turn  - but what
does he do? - this moron slows down to a crawl with the all-too-
familiar slack-jawed gawk "oh wow it's a Hummer" on his face.
Poor guy barreling down the middle lane is about to T-bone me.  I
literally had to motion with a flicking motion of my wrist for the
moron turning right to hurry up and make his turn.

There are three kinds of drivers that I face.  Those who challenge
me.  "C'mon hit me and I'll sue your ass" and those who actually
have the smarts to get out of my way.  Then there are the "deer
frozen in headlights."  Those are the Darwin Awards of drivers.

I believe in cutting-in kharma.  I always let people cut  in front of me
and always seem to collect on that kindness doublefold when
people do the same for me.   I make eye contact and sometimes
have to mouth the word "please".  Sometimes I blow kisses if people
are particularly kind.  Whatever it takes.  I am after all a small
woman in a big truck -- or better yet - in an exotic sports car ;)
