RE: [DMCForum] Battery Cut off

Here is the response I got from the guy who installed it:

Sure, I think I got it here (or someplace like this):

http://www.watsons-streetworks.com/battery.html

The key is that it doesn't use power when "on". Obviously the remote
switch was made by me, but that's pretty simple to construct. It took me
a while to find a good quality unit. You can also find them at select RV
parts places... I think I got mine at an RV website now that I think of
it! There is probably a receipt somewhere in that pile I gave you.

I liked it so much I'd get another one for my Vette once I get that
running. I was quite impressed how nicely it fit in the DeLorean's
battery compartment :-)

Hope this helps!

Michael

Cool, thanks.  I had envisioned doing the same thing, only by using the
ignition key.  When you turn the key on it would connect the battery and
when off, it would disconnect.  Yours makes more sense so you don't have
to
reset everything in car that requires memory.

Have you found where the relay is mounted and what type?

Greg
