I've finally had some job interviews with real companies instead of
recruiters... things may go somewhere.
 
As far as the turbo stuff, no it won't come cheap.  I'm considering it to be
a racing engine, and I have had experience building those before.  Exact
tolerances, balancing, custom-made parts in exotic materials all take a toll
on the wallet.  I am hoping I can do it for under $5000 though.  We'll see
how far I can get before Chicago.
