I gotta agree with Robert here.  If ADD was around when I was in school, I
bet they would have tried to drug me as well.  I think this excuse is used a
lot when you aren't performing or behaving like they think you should.
Surprise, they aren't you.  Very often it can be the instructor that is the
problem with keeping you interested.  A lot of very influential people in
history could have been diagnosed with ADD or many other things.

Keep in mind I am not telling you to stop using the medication.  I am not a
doctor, though I play one on TV.

As for the whole ADD thing? Well, years ago when I was in the first
grade, I had a teacher
that tried to convince my parents that I had ADD. Lucily, they
doubted her, and I did well
once I was in another classroom, with another teacher. Let's face it,
if it's a subject that
bores the hell out of you, or even a horrible instructor, you're
gonna be like me, and spend
all day staring out the window at squirels. If it even remotely peaks
your interest, they
won't be able to pry people like us away, we'll be so focused on it.
