So what does the school asbestos regulations have in common with 
Sputnik, Vietnam and Reagan.

Well, as some of you remember, after Sputnik there was a massive program 
for school spending so that the US could catch up on the Space Race.  

If you listen to the Kennedy Nixon debates, they were just on last week, 
 During 1957-59, the US was in a recession, while the rest of the 
industrialized nations economies were growing over 4% per year. 
 Developing a scientific labor force, similar to other countries as 
something this country needed.  

Well, it worked too well.  Millions of young people got college degrees 
and learned to think on there own.  The net result was college student 
PROTESTING THE VIETNAM war.   Yes, once we took some sociology  courses 
and studied more about the rest of the world and its history, we learned 
that the Vietnam war was wrong AND BASED ON THE FALSE INTELLIGENCE sound 
familiar.  Of Course, HISTORY has shown US these YOUNG PEOPLE WERE RIGHT. 


This educated public was not a good thing for the US Military- 
Industrial complex.   If they wanted a do a war in the 
future-intelligent people might protest again.  So what do we do,  make 
sure we don't adequate fund education anymore. !!


We Reagan (the killing president) got into office. WHAT WAS ONE OF THE 
FIRST THING HE DID?   Remember the Department of Health, Education and 
Welfare?  DHEW.  He changed it to the Department of HEALTH and HUMAN 
SERVICEs.  YES,  THAT RIGHT - NO MORE EDUCATION!!!!

Well, it was not good politics to visible cut educational funding, so 
Reagan and his corrupt bureaucrats (more Reagan appointees were 
convicted of corruption than any president in history!)  came up with a 
way to cut school funds without  really doing is visibility.

They came up with a public fear scheme about asbestos in schools that 
would require our schools to spend almost $100,000,000,000 on a hazard 
that was not significant.

YES, Asbestos is a health hazard, it kills hundred of workers who were 
exposed to high levels for a long period of time.  BUT HIGH LEVELS DO 
NOT OCCUR IN SCHOOLS AND TH EY NEVER DID.

So they issue all this disinformation about asbestos in schools being a 
risk to children WITH NO EVIDENCE TO SUPPORT THIS CLAIM.  Of course, 
parents and schools panic believing there is a health risk and spend 
BILLIONS OF DOLLARS to remove a NON hazard.

Hey, GUESS WHAT, YOU  JUST EFFECTIVELY CUT SCHOOL SPENDING WHILE GETTING 
THE PUBLIC TO BELIEVE YOU GOT RID OF A HEALTH HAZARD  WHAT a GREAT SCAM.  

That's RIGHT the AHERA and SAHRA asbestos regulations are not based on 
any evidence of a health hazard to children.  In fact, air sampling, 
that was done in almost 50% of the school in this country CONFIRMED 
THERE WAS NO HEALTH HAZARD.

Anyway,  YOU KNOW THE END OF THE STORY.  WE have "educated" kids today 
WHO CAN'T MAKE CHANGE FOR A DOLLAR.  Given them a math test and they 
pull out their calculator.  

One a world wide test of math skills on 7-8  graders  THE US WAS 38th in 
world  RIGHT ALONG WITH THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES.

YES, REAGANS plan has worked well,   WE are now involved in  another 
ILLEGAL WAR BASED ON FALSE INTELLIGENCE:.

HOW about those over 1000 dead solders.  ?  Here's the statistic.

Vietnam  500,000 deployed solders for 5 years   50,000 + killed  1% 
fatality rate.  0.2% per year
Iraq 130,000 deployed solders  for 18 months.  1,000+ killed.  0.76% 
fatality rate   0.5% per year.  YES, IRAQ IS MORE DEADLY THAN VIETNAM!

Not Left, Not RIGHT, JUST THE FACTS.
