[DMCForum] Gasoline Prices and the election

Sometime in the past week during the political
discussion, someone asked What happened to the drop in
gasoline prices before the election that I had
predicted earlier in the year..

I had some time today to check in to it.

This past summer, when gas prices exceeded $2.00 a
gallon in most places (Here in NJ it just hit $2.00
before it started to go back down) the cost of crude
oil PEAKED at 38.50 a barrel.  In June the price
dropped back down to the $34 range.  Soon after, the
price at the pump started to slowly decrease.

Gasoline here in New Jersey has slowly been creeping
back up.  Regular is about $1.92 here.  So, give or
take a few pennies it is back up to the same price it
was in late May/Early June at the last peek..  But
today, crude oil is about $52 a barrel.

If we compare gasoline prices VS crude oil prices, I
would say we are getting a HUGE discount at the pump
right now.....  How long after the election will the
price at the pump go up??  No matter who wins (or is
appointed).
