Mike,

You missed my whole point.  Bob said it costs $35,000
a year to keep a person imprisoned.  Prisoners don't
get two weeks vacation and they require 24 hour a day
"care".  Hence, the "actual" cost to keep a person
incarserated is $3.99+ an hour.  If we (the people)
were paying $17.50 an hour to house inmates, doo-doo
would hit the fan, in places much higher than this
forum.
