Trip Report WAS: Re: [DMCForum] Re: Farrar at SEDOC 2005

Well pulling a 2800lb car on a steel flatbed, don't know the weight yet, 
from Albuquerque NM to Tampa FL we averaged 17.93MPG with an average 
speed of 64.9mph(according to GPS) interstate was75mph when ever 
possible.  Then  from Tampa to Fort Myers, 110 miles, with a 6000+lb GMC 
truck on the trailer it dropped to 16.2mpg.  I don't have an average 
speed for the trip but on the interstate I was holding it at70mph with 
out the engine struggling to climb any bridges and took it up to 85mph 
once to pass and get away from a granny on the phone.
