I really don't believe that generations have anything to do
with it.  The human condition is very much the same now as
it has been for the last several hundred years.  Sure we
have more technology, pollution & overcrowding, but people
still treat each other basically the same.  (Read Church
history books, lives of saints, etc. and you will see what I
mean.)

Is this for sex or friendships in general?  You sound like a
bit of an introvert.  I try to treat others how I would want
them to treat me.  It's a good way to get continually
burned.  But I'm not keeping score.
