[DMCForum] dented fender repair

Well guys, wish me luck.

I'm going to take a whack at repairing my dented left front fender
tomorrow. I've been waiting since March to pull this off, and after
asking many questions, looking around for good sheet metal guys, and
calculating shipping costs for fenders, I have a solution/hope (you
decide).

A good friend of mine owns a moldmaking business. He came up with the
idea to make a small mold of the outside of the panel in a spot that is
identical to the dented area (minus the dent) to match the surface. We
will then use that mold as a backing so when we commence hammering the
stainless will not be able to bulge, stretch, or do any other kind of
mischief.

I'll post a follow-up tomorrow and no matter what happens, this little
mold goes on my trophy shelf.

If this works, then all is well and 4433 is back on the road!
