Marc, check out a computer available from the UK.

You can program it and run diagnostics from a laptop.  It
also does distributorless ignition.  It's been ages since
I've looked at the site, so my memory is a little foggy on
it.  I know (or forgot) so much about it because I'm
supposed to be getting a 3.0L 24V PRV built with one of
those running it.
