John, I have been told by people who should know that the Corvette engine (the LS1) is too long to fit in the DeLorean's engine compartment. Many people who do engine swaps end up cutting into the fiberglass of the rear fascia to make more room. But I think that the LS1 may need more room than cutting fiberglass can provide. Walt Yahoo!
