Travis, it sounds like the quote is from the Haynes manual for DeLoreans.
But such a book doesn't exist.  Why would you need to remove the muffler?
Unless you are talking about another kind of car that uses a rear-mounted
Volvo-esque PRV.  The DeLorean is the only car like this, no?
