James has explained over and over again, they were more than willing to
let
him use the logo, Lee just never followed through on the deal.  I believe
this was yet another "excuse" Lee used to get by not sending out models.
The very first excuse was actually caused by myself when I supposedly
called
Universal Studios and blew the whistle on him.  In truth I was trying to
help him out by calling Universal and asking a contact I had there.  At no
time did I mention Lee's name nor where he was doing his project.  But as
time passed and no work was done, Lee used that episode to deflect his
lack
of responsibility in the hopes of getting people pissed off at me and not
him.  It didn't work then either.

I feel bad for those who have been scammed.  But man it was a good scam,
if
you do the math, Lee made out pretty Damn well off that deal, at others
expense however.

I purchased both a set of keys, and model from Lee.
Both were received as promised....

FWIW, Lee has claimed in public the reason he had to
stop his projects was because of the threat of legal
action from DMCH for use of the DMC logo...  Which
last I checked, they do not own. (They own a similar
DMC logo, but not the same one that is on the car.
Just compare the logo in their advertisements to the
one on the car, they are not the same).

Yes, some people may have gotten ripped off..  but it
is clear to me that it was NOT Lee's intent to do
this.  He had every intention of doing what he said.
I have no idea why he did not send refunds to those
who did not get their order (as those people claim).
