[DMCForum] front intake manifold...w pipe

In my quest to solve my rough seeking idle (not idol :-) i had 10 seconds
to look at the car and i did notioce something ...on the center intake
pipes or "ram horns". I see that on the outside part there are 2 bolts
each and it is snug to the metal on the manifold. This is where the paper
thin gaskets go. 

However, on the 2 center rounded pipes there is a 1/16 gap pretty much
around the circumference of the both pipes where they fit into the round
part of the manifold???? I know there are 2 sets of gaskets that go in
there and that center bolt should be tight. Can anyone look at their car
and see if those center pieps are snug or if that slight gap is normal. I
would love to find out that is a large vac leak and that my problem could
end there...but i doubt it :-)
