I think you have been given the best advice from the posts I have
read...The
only other thing I can think of is if 
your car is an automatic. Make sure it is not in gear....A friend of mine
has a honda civic and for some reason her car did the same thing...after
20
mintes of wiggling the steering wheel and working with the gear shift knob
the key tuned...

Sounds like steering wheel lock. You may have to jerk the steering wheel
to
the left or right to free it before you can turn the key.
