Part of your towing limit is going to be the frame itself.

But the crux of your problem is that initial 2,500 RPM (which still
yields only 130 ft lbs of torque). Too much weight on the rear and
you'll only reach it with great difficulty, if at all. In the adjacent
lane my truck with the same load will be steadily accelerating at half
the RPMs.

High rev'ing high horsepower engines DO have their place. My truck's
engine is very large and very heavy (but I hasten to point out: as an
inline it IS more efficient than a V shaped engine). It consumes more
fuel than a smaller engine. It must stay in a narrow low RPM range.
