Not only is support NOT a "red herring" IMHO they have devalued the car by the conversion. Someday one of the converted (I did not say carbureted) cars will be sold and wind up at a Delorean vendor for work. The new owner may be unpleasantly surprised when they are told what they really bought. We can go back and forth over this, it will be decided one owner at a time. My main point here is they *should* make an informed decision and know all of the consequences BEFORE they do something as drastic as a conversion. I still maintain for all of the effort required to remove the K-Jet system it could just as easily be made to run properly. Of course it DOES require someone with the necessary skills. By your logic, if someone did not know how to fix the starter they should just put a crank on it. That makes no sense at all.
