RE: [DML] Steering column problem-Please help

Roland,

You have two problems with different solutions. The first problem is there
is enough play in the switch assembly so that you need to level your
signal/control stalks before tightening the pinch bolt so the switch must be
loosened and re-centered. The second problem is your T/S canceling came is
facing the passenger side instead of the driver side so the steering wheel
will have to be pulled and the cam moved to the L/H side of the stg whl
notches. Have your "mechanic" take care of it!

Subject: [DML] Steering column problem-Please help

To correct the problem of a steering column that kept dropping down, my
mechanic checked the column and found the wire mesh around the column was
fractured. The solution was to replace the column assembly.

The result upon replacement was for the housing for the turn indicator,
windshield wiper control and the ignition switch to be shifted counter
clockwise. In this new position the turn indicator to be on the lower left
between 8:00 and 9:00 instead of between 9:00 and 10:00 as before. The turn
indicators no longer cancel after a turn.

My question is, How can I correct this?

Please help.
