[DML] Steering column problem-Please help

To correct the problem of a steering column that kept dropping down, my mechanic checked the column and found the wire mesh around the column was fractured.  The solution was to replace the column assembly.

The result upon replacement was for the housing for the turn indicator, windshield wiper control and the ignition switch to be shifted counter clockwise.  In this new position the turn indicator to be on the lower left between 8:00 and 9:00 instead of between 9:00 and 10:00 as before.  The turn indicators no longer cancel after a turn.

My question is, How can I correct this?

Please help.
