Do you think running a ground wire from the SS coolant tank to the engine block would help this situation?

It should keep the "potential difference" at or close to zero.  no?

I've always been in the camp that prefers not to use stainless in the 
cooling system on the DeLorean - be that the bottle, the pipe in the 
"valley" or lately, suggestions of replacing all the pipework on the car 
with stainless (the original ally ones aren't prone to corrosion!).

aluminium engine - the science is just as valid on the DeLorean.
