[DML] Re: Fuel pump Buzz/Hum and engine cutting out briefly

When this happened how much fuel was still in the fuel tank? This
symptom usually indicates a problem in the fuel tank. Mostly
noticeable when the fuel level is low. Common reasons include a dirty
fuel filter in the tank, incorrectly installed parts, an old, soft
pick-up hose than either collapses under vacuum or kinks. The pick-up
hose may also have a hole in it and is sucking air when the level gets
low. If the pump is noisy all the time (even when the fuel tank is
full) the fuel pump is due to be replaced.
