Re: [DML] Re: DeLorean Thoughts While Raking Pine Straw ( Very Long)

Hi Dave:

Normally I would stand behind you, but not on this topic....

If I could fit a tube amp in my DeLorean I would have. I was
seriously considering a tube amp for my DeLorean, except there is no
room for a good place in mounting the many tube amps that are sold,
so I got a transistor unit from Sinfoni. Their transistorize sound
is excellent, par none, besides many of their units fits perfectly in
our cars and they take up very little space because of the thickness
of 1 5/8" or 40mm thick. Very thin and thin as they come as my
decision in to my purchase...

The tube amps' disadvantages are the cooling factor and their
placement. The tube generates heat that needs to aired away from the
unit as and their larger size is difficult to mount as to hide it,
especially in the interior of the DeLorean.

As far as tube equipments, their sound is always better, but many
people will not appreciate the differences between the two
technology. Personally I will always used a tube audio equipment
over a transistor unit anytime, unless for the mounting requirement
or for the high current output which the transistor can only provide....

For some you who may like tube equipment in your cars, check these
units:
