Re: [DML] A society question...

I have owned a DeLorean for 8 years and I must say that only once have I been disappointed
by disrespectful behavior. The offendor was drunk and asked if he could sit in it, as he proceded to sit down. At car shows, I always have a polite version of the "Please Do Not Touch" sign and folks are generally respectful. I always volunteer to let children, with the parents permission, sit on the sill which I have covered with a towel. Sometimes the parents also want to follow suit, especially if they have a camera. At gas stations there are always lookers and inquiries, but it has not been a problem. My experiences may not be typical since my car is not used as a daily driver. Rod 10921

curious. May of you Delorean owners have had your cars for a decade or
more. Was the bystander problem (sitting on the car, opening the doors)
always as bad? Or has it gotten worse? I've personally noticed
misbehaving children, with no real parental supervision, getting worse
of the 20+ years I've been married, so I'm wondering if it's worse now
than it was 20 years ago when the BTTF movie came out (and did the BTTF
movie make it worse)...
