RE: [DML] 180A Altenator.

Hey guy's, I don't know who ya'll are talking about on the 180 amp
alternators but would really like to know. Next time you may want to
consider one of my D series 110, 140, 150 which are the best built and the
best backed for the DeLorean. I have been building them for 5 years now.

I bought from the same company as Marc and had a lot of problems with them.

Their alternator failed and left me stranded 2 hours from home.
Thankfully I was at a tech session and, while I missed the parade I
was supposed to participate in, I did have a lot of help and access to
a shop so we got a new alternator from Schucks put in.

I wanted a refund on the alternator, but they refused. Claimed they
would only fix it for me, not refund it. I was not happy with this -
they did not bother to mention this policy on the phone when I bought
it - so I demanded a refund. I shipped the product back to them along
with a note that said, "Do not return this to me. If you will not give
me a refund, I will issue a chargeback and get my money that way."

The idiots repaired it and returned it to me anyway. I issued the
chargeback and American Express refunded my money. I then told the
company if they wanted their alternator, to send UPS to pick it up on
their dime; I'd already paid to return it to them once and wasn't
going to do so again. They ignored me. So, I have a repaired 180a
alternator here sitting in a box. I was thinking I'd use it in some
alternative energy generation project, maybe tie it to a home made
prop for wind generation, or something... :-)
