[DML] Preproduction Car In Kentucky?

Cutting to the chase here, I was thinking back on past DML subjects,
and happened to remember a old story I read here almost 10 years ago
(time flies doesn't it?!). The part about the mushrooms growing in the
engine compartment is what really stuck with me...

I remember this story, but never saw the promised follow-up for
pictures and better description.

It sounds like a pre-production car, rather than a Prototype. The
description of noticably different items are how things like the
ashtray and windows are noticably different, rather than the sharp
lines of the body design. And it does sound like a match to the
pre-production car that Barret-Jackson sold 9 years ago.

Whatever happened to this car? I'm not interested in buying it myself,
as I have too many project cars right now. But I would like to see
someone rescue this car if they had the means. Is Brandon Moody still
around? And did he ever post a follow-up that I somehow missed?
