[DML] Re: Aligning Latch Pins

My advice did NOT include instructions on how to actually adjust the
door hinges. If the hinges have EVER been touched, all bets are off.
Aligning the doors is more art than science and it can only be done by
someone with a lot of experience. If the hinges have never been
adjusted don't touch them. You will not be able to adjust the doors
any better than the factory could. I only mentioned the hinges so you
would check them and if they WERE disturbed do not atempt any
adjustments until you can get the doors aligned. I saw one car at a
door adjustment session one year and both doors were WAY out of
alignment. It looked horrible. It can take hours to get just 1 door
lined up and I couldn't help him in a short afternoon. Bottom line, DO
NOT TRY TO ADJUST THE DOOR HINGES.
