[DML] Pulling an engine and auto trans

Short story, I came across #6597 November, auto, gray for sale
recently and now it is in my posession. I'm going to be
restoring/refurbishing it for a family member. The exterior stainless,
fiberglass tub and frame are in excellent shape. The interior is
trashed and the drivetrain needs a lot of work and updates.

I learned a lot restoring my own car #3231 and did all the work to it
with the engine and transmission still in the car (even the TABS!) I
want to pull the engine and tranmission out of this car to do most of
the work this time. I have a proper cherry picker and engine stand, so
tools are not an option. I gues what I am asking is if there are 1,
can the engine and tranmission be removed as one piece or must the
engine come out before the trans. 2, anything specific to watch out
for? any particular methods someone can share or should I go with
what's in the service manual?
