[DML] Fuel Gauge Sending Unit dilemma

All,

I recently purchased a new and improved fuel gauge sending unit from a
major vendor. The problem I am having is that when I replaced it,
keeping in mind that I followed the included instructions to a t, my
fuel gauge no longer works. My old sending unit worked just fine, so I
am wondering: is it possibly a defective unit or could the DPO possibly
have jury rigged something that would cause the new one to not work
whearas the old one did? The old unit looked essentially stock, I
could not see any modifications. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Jack
