Good advice concerning torsion bar adjustment - I had one that was
over torqued, had delaminated and bent the metal piece that the
torsion plates attach to, twisted the splines on the bars, etc. -
actually had to fabricate a puller in order to remove the plates while
holding with the breaker bar...

anyway, DMC Houston has a very nice replacement for the "valance":
Part # 105721  -  UPR SCREEN RR FINISHER - REPRODUCTION

got one last year to replace one that was beyond hope - $150, looks
and fits perfect
