Automatic car washes- A bad idea?

Hey guys,

I took my car out for an extended drive. Now it's dirty and it's 
colder than a witch's teat outside.

Of course I prefer to hand wash my DeLorean but it's too cold for 
that. Due to the ventilation grilles on the engine cover, is it a bad 
idea to run a DeLorean through an automatic, drive-in car wash such 
as the types commonly found at gas stations?

Opinions are welcome.
