Re: Critical Engine Failure

As usual, everyone has been right there with good advice and
encouragement. First off- Thanks.

Second, the most common recommendation was to find out where it's
coming from: I have looked all around the heads as much as posssible
with it still assembled, and I can't find any leakage around the
heads. The frame up forward, towards the tranny has oil on it, but
from the top of the engine looking down, there's no slime trail. It's
almost as if a main (crank) seal blew, but that would be oil not oil
and coolant right?

I called DMC and told them "Houston, we have a problem". I was told
it might just be a cracked block by the location but to call back
tomorrow for more expert advice.

them. I was idling it in my driveway 4 days ago when something seemed
to "give", and it acted as though it had a vacuum leak. I shut it
down and had to leave it for a few days. I ran it this evening, again
it acted that way, but with a sickening twist...green coolant mixed
with oil came spilling out on the ground once it warmed up.

oil level was correct, I'd just checked it. The oil pressure does
climb pretty high when it was revved up. I've never "redlined" the
engine though.

upset. Should I just toss the engine, or is it worth fixing? Would
high oil pressure blow the head gasket? What would make the oil
pressure too high? (No, I didn't put too much in)
