When redoing the header panels on the 97 DeLorean we faced the same dilema of damaged or
warped roof panels.

Since we were going to custom cut these to fit the interior, we needed to strengthen and
increase rigidity.

The solution was to coat them with 2 part clear polyurethane. This is thick clear
varnish type coating you can find at a hardware store. It is also marketed for doing
decopage.

This solution stays liquid for a number of hours and soaks into the paper liners. This
worked extremely well and let us make the custom panels we needed.
