RE: [DML] Death of vin#1657 :(

I offer my condolences. I'm so sorry that happened.

Can you tell us more about the situation? How long had it been between
the time you drove it and the time it started on fire? What were the
last couple of things done to it (maintenance-wise)? Did it behave oddly
ever? (electrical weirdness? engine hesitation?) Did you notice anything
unusual? Is anything in the wiring not stock?

I have only had my D for a week or so, but know a fair amount about
cars. I'll help hypothesize any way I can.

This is probably the saddest letter I have had to write to the list.
for a
yet unknown reason this morning my D burned to death. I have not yet
had a
chance to see it I am told about the only thing salvageable are three
out of
four tires. So in my effort to help I need you(the DML) to provide me
with
some possible explanations for a fire. all responses are appreciated.

Thank You

Derrick
